Privacy Notice - Clear Sky Energy

1. Who we are

Clear Sky Energy Ltd (trading as Clear Sky Energy) is a solar PV, battery and EV charger installer based in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. We are the "data controller" for the personal information described in this notice. This means we decide how and why it is used, and we are responsible for looking after it.

2. What we collect

• Your name, mobile number, email address, address and Eircode
• Your preferred survey date and time, and any notes you give us
• Your consent choice, and how you found us (for example which advert or campaign)
• Site survey details and photos of your property (for example the roof, meter and fuse board)
• Your MPRN and electricity details
• Your system design and quote
• Grant application details
• Payment and invoice records
• Our call and message history with you

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

• To arrange and carry out your survey, quote and installation. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing our contract with you.
• To make SEAI grant applications and ESB Networks connection notifications (NC6/NC7). Legal basis: performing our contract, and our legal obligations.
• To keep accounts and tax records. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• For service follow-up, warranty and safety. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in standing over our work and keeping you safe.
• For marketing, only if you have opted in. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We only share what is needed, with:

• SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland)
• ESB Networks
• Our system-design software provider (OpenSolar)
• Our installers and subcontractors
• IT, hosting and email providers who process data for us under contract
• Our accountants, insurers and legal advisers
• Authorities where the law requires it

We never sell your data.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 2 years from our last contact with you.
• Customers: 6 years after the last transaction (a Revenue requirement), or longer where needed for your system warranty or safety records.

After that, your information is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you
• Have it corrected
• Have it deleted
• Restrict how we use it
• Object to how we use it
• Receive it in a portable format
• Withdraw your consent at any time

8. Security

Access to your information is restricted to staff who need it for their work. We use encrypted connections, and we keep audit logs of changes.

9. Cookies

Our booking page uses only essential cookies, plus campaign tracking only to see which advert brought you to us. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first with a cookie banner.
